Has the time come for IPv6?

For years, Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) has been looming, basically waiting for adoption.  It’s tested, proven, and in some places in production (e.g. US Department of Defense).  The biggest benefits being its larger address space, built in security, Quality of Service, and more efficient data transmission.

We are now approaching the time where decisions need to be made, IPv4 address space is slated to run out in 2010 or 2011, so how should you approach IPv6 adoption? More…

Learning or Training?

Learning and training are the same thing, right?

Wrong, they are fundamentally different, but many organisations do not recognise the differences and so “train” their people and wonder why their business stagnates.

Training is about giving an individual the tools to do their job, so the focus is on the direct benefit to the organisation. Learning is all about developing the individual, enabling them to grow and is a benefit to the person, and ultimately, the organisation. More…
