A recent survey by Gartner, Inc indicates that many business leaders are now planning for growth rather than looking to reduce costs.

For years, Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) has been looming, basically waiting for adoption. It’s tested, proven, and in some places in production (e.g. US Department of Defense). The biggest benefits being its larger address space, built in security, Quality of Service, and more efficient data transmission.

The next generation of Windows arrived with us last month and looking at the decision to stay put or upgrade to 7; I think whether or not you went to Vista, that 7 is a good place to be. Start planning and get all you apps tested and remediated, then roll it out. It’s going to be easier to support, so you’ll end up with a supportable platform for the foreseeable future. More…
